Ernesto Fajardo
Ernesto is a top Canadian professional pickleball player, winning 11 Canadian National Championships. He was drafted #1 overall to the Canadian National Pickleball League in 2024 and serves as the captain of the Montreal Lions, leading the team to Championships in both 2024 and 2025 (first back-to-back champions in CNPL history).
As a touring pro, Ernesto competes full time on the APP and PPA U.S. professional tours. He is also the first Canadian pro sponsored by JOOLA Pickleball. Off the court, he contributes to the sport’s growth as an IPTPA Director and Level 2 Teaching Professional, and as Director of Pickleball at Club CDL, where he has led programming since 2019. Beyond the club, he shares his knowledge through clinics nationally and internationally.
Ernesto expanded his reach in 2024 by traveling to China, where he was the featured professional for the launch of MiLP China and conducted multi-city training camps to help grow the sport. He also played a key role in promoting pickleball in Jamaica, where he participated in and won the inaugural Jamaican International Open (singles and mixed doubles), helping bring visibility to the sport and support its development in the country.
Born and raised in Montreal, the 26-year-old is fluent in French, English, and Spanish, and has completed his Mechanical Engineering degree. Passionate and dedicated, Ernesto loves helping players improve, push their limits, and reach their full potential.
Narcis Ghisovan
Narcis has been playing pickleball for 5 years and is now recognized as one of the best players in Quebec. He has won several titles at the 4.5 and Open levels and has also teamed up with Ernesto for a few competitions in Quebec and Ontario. Narcis has played different sports at a competitive level and has been a martial arts practitioner for 35 years. Over the decades, Narcis has earned black belts in several styles and has been teaching martial arts since his teenaged years. He completed his graduate studies in Neuroscience at the University of Montreal. Narcis has 20 years of experience in higher education, mainly as a biology professor and lecturer in both Cegep (pre-university school) and University. Born in Romania, he speaks French, English and Romanian fluently and is the proud father of two boys who also play pickleball. Narcis has been a teacher and coach for most of his life and he loves sharing his knowledge with his students.
Ivan Di Capua
Ivan started playing pickleball in 2021 and he has quickly become one of the players to watch out for. Ivan competes in both singles and doubles, and consistently wins medals in the 4.5+ category. On top of his Pickleball skills, Ivan’s career path is marked with numerous awards as a top performer and people leader in the corporate world. Today, Ivan is an entrepreneur who dedicates his spare time to the development of the sport: he runs Top Drive Pickleball – the very first singles league in the province, he is the co-founder of the Pickleball Association of Saint-Lazare, and he is a certified Pickleball instructor. Born and raised in Switzerland, Ivan has travelled and lived in more than 35 countries. He holds two Master degrees, and is fluent in French, English, and Italian. Ivan’s passion for helping people is what drives him in everything he does, and he loves sharing his experience on the court with players of all levels.
